Groups of contemporary artists from Ghana come together to organize an  annual Street festival called “ Chale Wote” that uses art as a viable form to rejuvenate public spaces. The CHALE WOTE Street Art Festival challenges both artists and community-­based audiences to connect through art. This festival takes over a street called “James Town”,for three days, rearranging the streets into dynamic exhibition rooms, giving artists space to express and amplify their creative voices. It includes street painting and stencil work, sidewalk painting and chalk art, graffiti murals, large photography displays, live music performances and much more.
 
The boys from this painting were caught in my camera during this festival.In “Watchful eyes”, boys were trying to interpret a large abstract painting by a local artist with a lot of curiosity. In this painting, the watchful eyes are in turn watching these boys.
